About the Founder

FX Supartono, civil engineer, born at Pati on the 2nd of March 1949, graduated from the University of Indonesia, Jakarta, and Doctorate degree from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France, in the field of Concrete Damage Modeling. He was Associate Professor at the University of Indonesia (1978 – 2009) and the University of Tarumanagara (1979 – now). He has conducted many researches in High Performance Concrete Technology as well as the Sustainable Concrete Technology, on which more than 200 scientific publications have been published in the national and international forums. He has obtained the Medal of Honor “Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques” from the French Government in 2004. In the professional organizations, he had been the Vice President of the Indonesian Society of Civil and Structural Engineers (2005 – 2008), and the Vice President of the Asian Concrete Federation (2007 – 2009). He is Founder of PT Partono Fondas Engineering Consultant and had been 30 years working as CEO of that company (1986 – 2016). Now he works as CEO of PT. Midasindo Teknik Utama and PT. Tridi Membran Utama as well as the consultant expert for the civil structural engineering works in Indonesia and abroad, especially for several large bridges projects including the conceptual design of Sunda Strait Bridge (main bridges of 2016m span & 1224m span and viaducts) that will link Jawa Island and Sumatra Island.
